Photos: How Ex-Wife wiped out ex-husband’s new family

A 33-year-old Ghanaian woman, on Monday 27th of January, 2014 wiped out her ex-husband’s entire new family. Efua Badu and her ex were once married but latter separated when the two were having problems in their marriage. Their families tried to settle the matter, but her ex-husband insisted it was over. He later got married and impregnated a 25-year old lady who gave birth to a daughter who is now two and half year-old.

Efua who couldn't stand losing her man, the father of her two kids, at around 1.30am in the early hours of Monday set the uncompleted building her ex was living ablaze, killing him, his new wife and their baby while they were all asleep. She later fled from the scene, but when fire fighters got there, they couldn't trace where the fire began and said someone might have set the family ablaze.

“There are plenty of good men, they are not just for me,” these are the words of the daughter of Cecil Chao, an H0ng Kong business tycoon who reportedly offered 80 million pounds to any man who is ready to marry his lesbian daughter. Gigi, the 33-year-old daughter wrote an open letter to her father urging him to see reasons and respect her sexuality.

Chao, a property and shipping tycoon who himself has never married, told the BBC last year that his daughter needed a “good husband”.

In the letter, Gigi told her father to “treat her like a normal, dignified human being”.

Chao last week reportedly offered to double his 2012 offer of $65m (£40m).

Hong Kong does not recognise same-sex unions, although homosexuality was decriminalised in 1991.

Doctors Remove Live Cockroach From Australian Man’s Ear

An Australian has received medical treatment to remove a large cockroach that had burrowed into his ear.
Local media reported that the 2cm pest caused agonising pain for Hendrik Helmer, and defied his efforts to suck it out with a vacuum cleaner.
It was finally killed by doctors at a hospital in the northern city of Darwin and removed using forceps.
“They said they had never pulled an insect this large out of someone’s ear,” he told ABC News.
Mr Helmer awoke on Wednesday morning to a sharp pain in his right ear.
At first he thought a poisonous spider had made its way into his ear canal.
When the pain intensified Mr Helmer tried to remove the unwelcome guest with a vacuum cleaner and by squirting water into his ear.
“Whatever was in my ear didn’t like it at all,” he said.

Nigerian Man Arrested In Goa India With Marijuana Drug After Bike Crash

A Nigerian was handed over to police in Panaji, Goa, India by residents Friday after the scooter he was riding met with an accident and packets of cannabis tumbled out of the two-wheeler’s glove-box, a ruling legislator said.

The Nigerian, who has not been identified by police yet, was arrested by the officials from Mapusa police station, 15 km from Panaji, and was taken to a medical facility because of the injuries he suffered in the accident.

“The Nigerian fell from his scooter after meeting with an accident. He was injured, but immediately tried to hide the drug packets which had fallen from his bike in the bushes by the road,” Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Calangute Michael Lobo said, adding that residents informed police.

I won’t quit before June, Sanusi dares Jonathan

 
 The controversy surrounding the planned exit of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Lamido Sanusi, deepened on Thursday with the governor insisting that he would not quit the post until his term expired on June 2, 2014.

In keeping with his vow, which analysts see as a direct confrontation with President Goodluck Jonathan, Sanusi has said he will not proceed on his terminal leave in March as initially being speculated. The President had reportedly asked the CBN governor to resign immediately because of the alleged deliberate leakage of the letter that Sanusi wrote to him in which the governor accused the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation of not remitting $49.8bn crude oil revenue to the Federation Account.

Sanusi was said to have denied leaking the letter to former President Olusegun Obasanjo or anyone for that matter, and allegedly told the President that he could only be removed by two-thirds of members of the Senate as required by law.

Two close friends fight bloody over a lady in Lagos

 
Two friends have engaged each other in a bloody street fight over a girl at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.The fight resulted in the stabbing of Saheed Hamza, with a broken bottle by his friend, Christopher Ugbeni.
Ugbeni, a resident of Catholic Mission Street, Lagos Island, and hails from Edo State, has been arrested by the police from the Lion Building Division, Campbell Street.

He said he engaged Hamza in a fight because he was trying to snatch his girlfriend. Hamza was rushed to the General Hospital, Lagos Island, after he was stabbed. He is currently receiving treatment.

Police investigation revealed that trouble broke out between the two friends when Ugbeni reportedly saw Hamza making love advances to his girlfriend. Ugbeni was said to have challenged his friend and that it degenerated into a fight during which the suspect broke a bottle and stabbed Hamza in the stomach.

(Mrs) Folake Achudume, who doctors have confirmed dead has resurrected before she could be buried. How 18yr-old boy killed girl, 12, for money ritual on new year’s eve

The police in Lagos State, on Monday, said they have arrested an 18-year-old boy, Ikechukwu Friday, who allegedly killed a 12-year-old girl for money ritual. According Ikechukwu, a pastor he asked for money instructed him to kill a young girl and obtain her faeces. He said the pastor promised him N100,000 if he was able to accomplish the task.

Meet 66-year-old Brazilian man Inri Cristo who believes he is the reincarnation of Jesus Christ.

Inri dresses like Jesus, says his mission is to prepare the elect for the formation of the new earthly society, which will strive to fulfill the Creator's will.

He has spent 35 years preaching and has ‘hundreds of followers’ from around the world, including the UK, Britain and France, some of whom live with him at his ‘church’ compound outside Brasilia.

As ‘Jesus reborn’, he gave himself the name Inri which means - Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews' and Christo which means - Christ.

But despite seeing himself as Jesus reborn, Inri refuses to celebrate Christmas saying it is just a day where 'the rich humiliate the poor'.

US College says it did not award MBA to Stella Oduah

Stella Oduah, Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation who is embroiled in a scandal of towering proportions in the ministry, faces new integrity questions as her Masters’ degree has been challenged by the United States school which supposedly awarded it.

Her resume, which she presented to the Senate as a ministerial nominee in 2011, indicated she obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from St. Paul’s College Lawrenceville, Virginia, United States. But Sahara Reporters has learned from the President of the college that it has never in its 125-year history had a graduate school or graduate program.

Similarly, the school’s website states: “Saint Paul's College is accredited by the Commission of Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate [bachelor’s] degrees.” There is no mention of graduate degrees.

First Lady Patience Jonathan orders Rivers Police Commissioner Mbu to release arrested armed thugs of her political allies

In a rare show of power she constitutionally doesn't have, Nigeria's First Lady Patience Jonathan has reportedly ordered the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mbu Joseph Mbu, to release the armed thugs of her close political allies, Senator George Sekibo and Evans Bipi.

The six men were arrested on Friday by the Joint Military Task Force (JTF) in Ogu, the hometown of the two politicians, and they were handed over to the police for prosecution.

But SaharaReporters has authoritatively learned that Mrs. Jonathan ordered Mr. Mbu to release the suspects as well as return to them the arms and ammunition that were found in their possession. It is as yet unclear if Mbu has complied with the order, but Mr. Bipi, a former domestic aide of Mrs. Jonathan, is understood to be actively trying to ensure the release.

Meanwhile a crisis of confidence seems to have erupted between the JTF/Army and the police in Rivers State concerning how the story, which was broken by Saharareporters, leaked to the media. Mbu is said to have complained loudly that the Army/JTF must have leaked the story to the media.

Man swallowed by Python (Photos)

This picture is alleged to be the only known photograph ever taken of a snake eating a human (more like
trying too). It was taken in Malaysia and printed in a local magazine there. Apparently the snake couldn't get its mouth over the man's shoulders and therefor could not actually swallow him.

The person was dead (he suffocated) whether this is due to being constricted (most likely) or by having his head swallowed!

Woman who axed husband to death in Edo state arrested

Edo state Police Commissioner, Funso Adebanjo paraded 42 suspects, including robbers and other criminals among who was one Zenab Agbontine who allegedly axed her husband to death was also paraded.

In her confession, Zenab, who allegedly killed her husband, said:
“He stopped me from entering his room. I pleaded with him to forgive me because I had problems but he refused. It was when he slept that I entered the room with an axe and hit his head. I don’t know what entered into me"

EX-Nigerian footballer Emeka Ezeugo converts to Islam

46 years old retired Nigerian football defender and midfielder, also a current coach Emeka Ezeugo has announced that he's embraced Islam after being inspired by the life of Prophet Mohammad.

Emeka went to a Muslim cleric last week along with Mohammedan manager Amirul Islam, his former team-mate Kaiser Hamid, Zaker party leader Amir Faisal and club official Abu Hasan Prince to convert to Islam.

The former footballer, who represented Nigeria in the 1994 World Cup after playing for Mohammedan Sporting Club for nearly a decade, said he feels honoured to be a follower of the great prophet who he thinks is the greatest among all messengers of God.

Residents of Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah were shocked to see human body parts suddenly falling from the night sky.

Human body parts fell from the sky in the city of Jeddah Sunday, with police saying they could be the remains of a person trapped in an airplane’s wheel bay. “Police received a telephone call at 2:30 am from a witness reporting the fall of human remains at an intersection in Mushrefa neighbourhood” in the Red Sea city, spokesman Nawaf bin Naser al-Bouq said in a statement. Initial indications were that the remains “fell from a plan’s landing gear,” said Bouq, adding that investigations were ongoing. 

Man shot and killed by police for resisting demolition of shops

A man was shot and killed Monday morning by the police at Adenta in Accra for wrestling with the police who were supervising the demolition of unauthorized structures there.

Three others, suspected to be land guards were arrested.

They were alleged to have lunged at the police with dangerous weapons in an attempt to stop the demolition exercise being carried out by a private developer at Aviation lands, Adentan in Accra.

The Commander of the Alfa Swat Unit of the Ghana Police Service, Supt T. K. Hlormenu, told Joy News' Francisca Kakra Forson, the police were left with no choice than to defend themselves.

Timi was later released. The next day, he succeeded in killing himself by hanging himself in his room with his belt.

PM News reports that Timi, who worked as a computer operator in Ibadan, was found dead in his room at Ilupeju area, Baasala, Asero, Abeokuta, Ogun State on Sunday January 5th. A family source disclosed that he'd tried to kill himself last year but was stopped by some people.

Exotic Cars, Guns recovered from close political associates of Patience Jonathan

The Joint Military Task Force (JTF) yesterday in Rivers State arrested six youths bearing seven AK47 rifles around Ekporo Road on their way to Ogu.

Among them was Daniel Ibito-Anga, who parades himself and is known in Ogu Bolo as Security Adviser/PA to Senator George Sekibo (Rivers East Senatorial zone) and Evans Bipi, the Rivers State Assemblyman who was recently stopped by a court from parading himself as the Speaker of the Assembly.

Others arrested gave their names as Sunday Elisha, Uche Jenikachi, Ibinabo Lawson, and Okechukwu Okoro.

High court bombed in Rivers State

A High Court in Ahoada East LGA of Rivers State was bombed on Monday January 6th, according to reports from the state.

The bombing of the court where Justice Charles N. Wali usually holds court, reportedly occurred on Monday morning a few hours before a politically charged suit against Hon Evans Bipi, a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly and leader of a group of 6 lawmakers, who has been unlawfully parading himself as the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

Justice Wali had about a month ago ordered Bipi to stop parading himself as Speaker of the House as the tussle over control of the state government between loyalists of the Presidency and the Rivers Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, lingers with an end in sight. No casualties have been reported over the bombing as at the time of filing this report.

Tunde Olawuwo, an Area pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, and a senior manager at Red Star Express, a courier company, has been murdered. His killers were not just content taking his life, they disembowelled him and placed his intestines on his chest, sources said.

Sources said Olawuwo was killed at about 4 a.m on Sunday at his residence in Magboro area of Ogun State, western Nigeria. The deceased, in his early 50s, was the Chief internal Auditor at Red Star Express PLC and an area pastor in Mount Zion Parish, Agiliti, Mile 12. The parish is under Lagos Region 2, Province 13, Gbagada.

FG evacuates 1,277 Nigerians from war-torn Central African Republic

 
The Federal Government has so far evacuated 1,277 Nigerians stranded in crisis-torn Central African Republic, CAR.

The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, which disclosed this in Abuja yesterday, said evacuation exercise would continue until all Nigerians were airlifted out of the war-torn country.

It would be recalled that a United Nations, UN, report, said over one million people had been displaced from their homes in the clashes between Christian militias and the mainly Muslim Seleka rebel group that overthrew President Francois Bozize in March.

65 houses razed, scores injured as PDP supporters clash in Benue

 
ABOUT 65 houses were razed, yesterday, rendering many homeless with others injured as People’s Democratic Party, PDP, supporters clashed in Loko, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.

The latest crisis in Katsina-Ala is coming on the heels of moves by the people of Loko and PDP to recall Mrs Hembadon Amena representing Katsina-Ala West constituency in Benue State House of Assembly over alleged anti-party activities.

Vanguard gathered from an eyewitness, who preferred anonymity, that crisis erupted “when a supporter of the embattled lawmaker, Mr. Shiaondo Ukor, who is chairman of Motorcycle Hirers Association at the Daudu unit, allegedly accosted one Teryange, a commercial motorcycle rider and his employee.
