Girl vomits broken bottles, nails, money, pins [Photos and Video]

Ghana – Family members of a young woman are in shock over her predicament after she disappeared for a week in January this year, only to return and begin vomiting money, broken bottles, nails, an egg and pins in church.

19-year-old Rebecca Ankobea, who is currently living on the premises of the church, Building Faith Ministry International (BFMI), has so far vomited close to GH¢50 in GH¢5 and GH¢1 denominations, as well as coins in 50Gp and 20Gp denominations.

The satellite image from Tomnod, the online map site used by millions of netizens in the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, shows a passenger plane over a jungle. A satellite image appears to show the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 in the skies above a jungle.

The image is taken from Tomnod, the map search website currently being used by hundreds of thousands of people in an attempt to search for missing passenger plane, was posted on Reddit on Sunday.

The authenticity of the photo has not yet been verified and the region depicted in the photo is as yet unknown. Intriguingly, the plane appears to have been painted white.

The image was found by an university student in Taiwan, according to Taiwan’s China Times.

Fire guts Christ Embassy

Property worth millions of naira were, Tuesday, destroyed when fire consumed the main auditorium of Christ Embassy Church, located on Billings Way, Ikeja, Lagos.

It was gathered that the fire started at 6.30pm from an apartment which housed about 14 power generating sets. It was further learnt that the fire started as a result of power surge from one of the generating sets.

Sources said that immediately the church members noticed the fire, they tried putting it off with their in-house extinguishers. However, the fire escalated and spread to the church main auditorium. The church management declined speaking on the incident.

Terrorism war not against Muslims – Sambo Dasuki

The National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), has said that the Federal Government’s counter-insurgency campaign is not against Muslims in the country.

The NSA said this on Tuesday during the inauguration of a programme tagged, “Nigeria’s Soft Approach to Countering Terrorism” in Abuja

The NSA stated that efforts would be made to ensure that the fight against terrorism was not misinterpreted to mean a fight against Muslims.

Dasuki described the terrorists as an influential minority, whose harmful activities had brought ridicule to Muslims and their religion in the society.
He stated, “Counter-terrorism is not against Muslims…(and) we will ensure that the fight against terror is not misconstrued by Muslims in Nigeria as a fight against them.

Nigeria Police arrest man carrying 18 human skulls [Photo]

The Ogun Police Command said on Thursday that it arrested a 38-year-old man, Adelani Ayomide, for being in possession of a bag containing 18 human skulls.

A statement by the command’s spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, issued in Abeokuta said Mr. Ayomide was arrested on Thursday along the Ado-Odo-Owode road at about 6.48 a.m. during a routine police stop-and-search operation.

He said that the case would be transferred to the command’s headquarters in Abeokuta for further investigation.

Mr. Adejobi gave assurance that every person involved in the crime would be arrested and arraigned after investigation.

42-Year-old woman delivered of quadruplets (two boys and two girls), appeals for financial assistance

A 42-year-old woman, Mrs. Francisca Ejidike, a staff nurse from Orakwu in Anambra State, who was delivered of quadruplets (two boys and two girls), has appealed for financial assistance.

She said she married Mr. Joseph Ejidike five years ago, adding that at the time of their marriage, he had four children – a boy and three girls – through his late wife.

Mrs. Ejidike said: “I require financial assistance because it is difficult to take care of one baby, let alone four. I urge the government and well-meaning people to assist me.”

She thanked the hospital workers, led by the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr. Paul Ezeonu, for caring for her and the babies.

The matron of the post-natal ward, Mrs. Veronica Chima, thanked God for the delivery of the babies, noting that they were the first quadruplets to be delivered in the hospital.

A worker in the Ministry of Women Affairs told our reporter in confidence that the ministry informed Governor Martin Elechi’s wife about the delivery. He said he hoped she would respond.

Man cuts off 2year old girl's fingers in Yaba

The police at Sabo station on Tuesday arraigned a 49-year old ‘Pastor’, Moyo Martins at Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly cutting off the fingers of a 2-year old girl, Sadiat Faleye. Last week Thursday, Sadiat’s mother left her in the company of the man to quickly go and have her bath. But after about 5mins neighbours alerted her that they heard a loud cry of pain from her daughter and she quickly rushed out in panic. On getting to the man’s room she found two of her daughter’s little fingers lying on the floor including the ring on one of the fingers. The girl was quickly rushed to a private hospital for medical attention so she could stop losing blood. Mr Moyo denied ever knowing anything about her chopped off fingers, but when the police came for him, he confessed he sawed off the fingers in his room. He appealed to the mother of the little girl to forgive him because it happened in error.

The Nigerian football federation today unveiled a brand new jersey for the 2014 FIFA world cup in Brazil.

The jersey, which will be officially launched on March 5th when the Nigerian national team meets Mexico in a pre-world cup friendly taking place in Atlanta, Georgia

Head of the marketing department, Mr. Adama Idris has described the jersey as a 'climacool' designed to fit into all weather as the Brazilian weather changes over time depending on location.

The colour of the jersey is lemon green, a totally different one from the green color typically associated with the Nigerian national flag.
