Ibinabo the 43 year old mother of 5 who has never been married before took many by surprise when news filtered that she's engaged to be married in December. When asked by Vanguard, she confirmed it saying 

“Remember, I once said I never ruled out marriage. “When I see a man who wants to marry me, I will marry him. I want to marry please. All my children are grown-ups now. I need my own company. Even my kids ask me when I am getting married and I keep telling them I will marry when I find the man. I have not ruled out marriage at all.”

LADIES BE WARNED: Student goes blind after leaving Eye Contacts on for 6 months

A Taiwanese student, Lian Kao recently became blind due to eyeball-eating amoebas.

The hungry single-celled organisms formed after she knowingly left her contacts in for six months straight without changing or cleaning the lenses.

The lack of attention to eye hygiene created a breeding ground for an acanthamoeba infection to form in her contacts and her corneas. After the amoebas formed, they began burrowing into the student’s eyeballs, causing her to lose her vision.

She allegedly left the one pair of contacts in even while swimming and sleeping.

Wu Juan-liang, the director of ophthalmology at Taipei’s Wan Fang Hospital, explained:

“A shortage of oxygen can destroy the surface of the epithelial tissue, creating tiny wounds into which the bacteria can easily infect, spreading to the rest of the eye and providing a perfect breeding ground.The girl should have thrown the contact lenses away after a month but instead she overused them and has now permanently damaged her corneas,” he said.

MH17 Crash: Cash,credit cards, jewellery of victims looted + eyewitness accounts [PHOTOS]

 

According to new reports, the credit cards, cash, jewellery and valuables of victims of the Malaysian crash were stolen by pro-Russian rebels who shot down the plane.

Anton Gerashchenko, an advisor to the Kiev government, said:

'I have received information that terrorist death-hunters were collecting not only cash and jewellery of the crashed Boeing dead passengers but also the credit cards of the victims.Currently, they might as well try to use them in Ukraine or pass them on to Russia.My humble request to the relatives of the victims to freeze their credit cards, so that they won't loose their assets to terrorists.'One pensioner told how a corpse smashed though the roof of her house said...

Russian Hackers leave digital bomb in Nasdaq's computer system

...experts say the 'digital bomb' is capable of derailing the U.S. economy

According to a new report, Russian computer hackers managed to sneak a 'digital bomb' into the Nasdaq's computer system that is capable of sabotaging stock market computers and derail the U.S. economy.

In the report, published by Bloomberg Business week, the 'cybergrenade' was never set off.

The publication claims that hackers managed to slip into the Nasdaq's computer network in 2010 by using malware capable of spying and stealing data.

The malware could also cause 'digital destruction.'

Identity cards of prominent politicians discovered in Boko Haram camps

Some prominent politicians are presently being interrogated following discovery of their identity cards in terrorists’ camps destroyed inside the Balmo Forest in Bauchi State last week.

Coordinator of the National Information Centre (NIC) Mr. Mike Omeri told reports in Abuja on Wednesday during the regular briefing by members of the Centre on efforts to fight terror in the country and find the over 200 Chibok secondary school girls abducted since April 14 this year.

Omeri said “following the last successful operations carried out by security forces to dislodge terrorists from their forest bases in Darazo Local Government Area end of Balmo Forest, some politicians are currently being investigated following their link with activities in the forest.

FIFA suspends Nigeria with immediate effect

The FIFA Emergency Committee has decided today, 9 July 2014, to suspend the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) with immediate effect, on account of government interference. Article 13, par. 1 and article 17, par. 1 of the FIFA Statutes oblige member associations to manage their affairs independently and with no influence from third parties.

FRSC Boss [Ositadinma Benjamin Chidoka] to replace Stella Oduah

President Jonathan has nominated the current boss of the Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC, 43 year old Ositadinma Benjamin Chidoka as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to represent Anambra in the Federal Executive council.

According to reports, Chidoka is most likely to replace former Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah who resigned her position in February. A letter of his nomination has been sent to the Nigerian Senate and would be read on the floor of the Senate today. Abubakar Olanrewaju from Kwara state was also nominated and would replace former Sports minister, Bolaji Abdullahi, in the Federal Executive Council if confirmed by the senate.
