All that glitters doesn't have to be gold.
Victoria's
Secret Angel Karlie Kloss hit the catwalk Wednesday night in an
unforgettable, starry bodysuit. But she isn't the first to sport the
daring look.
In our latest style showdown, the 21-year-old supermodel goes head-to-head with Jennifer Lopez and bodysuit trailblazer Britney Spears.

When they wore it: The supermodel sported the sparkling number during the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Perhaps the VS designers took a cue from Spears's "Toxic" music video, where the pop star crawled around in a similar creation. But oops! Other artists did it again, including J.Lo who attempted to rock Britney's look during her 2011 American Music Awards performance.
How they styled it: Adding
a more 3-dimensional effect to a more typical stick-on gem look, VS's
icicles and strings of sparkly beads shift with the suit, like the
flouncy fringe hems of a flapper dress. Karlie's
breezy bob and sweet smile almost made us forget the initial salacious
interpretation the "Toxic" star aroused with her suit 10 years ago. In
her famous music video, the vixen prowls with evenly spaced gems
adorning her body in front of a glowing light as she croons. More
recently, J.Lo flaunted gems of varying shapes and pretty aqua-hues on
her suit fit for any pop diva, complete with her voluptuous,
bronze-toned curls.
Judge’s scorecard:
All of these ladies paraded personality in skintight looks many could
only dream of slipping on. On some level, each of these women won. But
if the pop star's coquette-esque suit has found its way to the runway,
becoming fashion gold a decade after its introduction, we have to give
our vote to Spears. The Victoria Secret's design is an innovative,
finely-executed spin-off, but no one wears it better than Britney.
