Boko Haram kills 29 pupils in boarding school attack overnight

Twenty nine students were killed after militants stormed a boarding school overnight in Nigeria, NaijaSharpNews sources have reported. Gunmen from Nigerian militant group Boko Haram stormed a boarding school overnight, killing 29 pupils, many of whom died in flames as the school was burned to the ground, police and the military said on Tuesday. The attack occurred in Yobe State.

“There was an attack at the Federal Government College (in the town of) Buni Yadi around 2:00 am (0100 GMT),” Lazarus Eli, military spokesman in Yobe state, told NaijaSharpNews.

“Some of the students bodies were burned to ashes,” said police commissioner Sanusi Rufai.

SURVIVOR DETAILS: Student reveals what Boko Haram did to them that night

Do you know that Nigerians are now living as refugees in Niger Republic? That is the reality of the matter, sad as it is. As you read this, tens of thousands of Nigerians have gone to Niger to escape from the latest wave of attacks and bombings by the deadly sect, Boko Haram, that continue to operate with impunity.

One of the students who was shot by the terrorists but managed to survived, said:

“I was shot on my left leg, while I was sleeping. When I woke up, I could not walk and was later taken to the girls hostel where the insurgents gathered us with the female students. They selected some of the female students and went away with them, while they left some of us groaning in pain from gun shot”.

The words of 14ysr old Ibrahim Musa Lampo, a JSS 2 student of Federal Government College, Bunu Yadi in Yobe State who was one of the lucky survivors of the Boko Haram massacre on Tuesday, which claimed the lives of over 40 students. The insurgents also burnt the hostels, classrooms and more during the attack.

Throughout last week, students of Baptist High School in Iwo, Osun State, protested the wearing of  Hijab by Muslim students to their school. On Wednesday and Thursday last week, the Christian students of the school came in their choir robes, white garments, some in Masquerade attires, while others came in fetish looking apparel, registering their disapproval of the newly introduced school uniform policy by Osun State government which allows Muslim students to wear Hijab to Christian mission public schools. A builder has given his pet dog away after she chewed a hole through the wheel arch of his prized £80,000 Aston Martin. Royston Grimstead, 42, was distraught when he came home to find his border collie spaniel cross Luce had chewed through the fibreglass panel of his luxury car. Mr Royston, from Chedzoy, Somerset, said the dog had never gone for any of his possessions before she chewed her way through the car last Wednesday.

A pastor in Zimbabwe has been sentenced to spend the next half century in prison after he was found guilty of raping 4 female members of his congregation.

Robert Martin Gumbura, the spiritual leader of the “Robert Martin Gumbura Independent End Time Message Church”, is said to have claimed that all female members of his church were his wives.
Gumbura, who has 11 wives and 30 children, had 10 years taken off his sentence because it was his first conviction.

The court heard that Gumbura, 57, claimed that all female members of his church were his wives by right, and married women were on loan from their husbands.“You were a real wolf in sheepskin,” said magistrate Hoseah Mujaya. The core business of any church is worshipping and not sleeping with girls and women and threaten them
that misfortune will befall them.”
