65 year old woman set to become the world's oldest mother of quadruplets(photo)

A 65-year-old schoolteacher is set to become the oldest woman ever to give birth to quadruplets.

German Annegret Raunigk, already has 13 children.
Her latest pregnancy was the result of artificial insemination using both donated sperm and eggs.

Ms Raunigk, who is in the 21st week of her pregnancy, said she was ‘shocked’ when an ultrasound scan showed she was carrying quadruplets. Her gynaecologist initially mentioned the possibility of  abortion.But the English and Russian teacher, who is due to retire this year, said she decided to have the babies as she was ‘still quite fit’ and capable of looking after them. She added: ‘I don’t think I will have any problems.’  Ms Raunigk, from Berlin, previously made headlines in Germany when she had her daughter Leila at the age of 55. Her 13 children – the oldest of whom is 44 – are by five different fathers.

She defended her decisions to get pregnant later in life, saying: ‘I think one needs to decide for oneself and not listen too much to the opinions of others.’

Report has it that star actress, Bimbo Akintola, was involved in a dirty fight with a shop attendant at the Palms in Lagos, recently. But the actress is claiming that she has a look-alike sister.

OluFamous.Com contacted folks in the movie industry and none seems to know any look-alike sister.

According to an eye witness, the wahala started when Bimbo Akintola bought something from a shop and the shop attendant didn’t have N300 balance to give to the actress.

It was gathered that she insisted she would collect her balance and went to the extent of telling the attendant that she would help her look for change.

“The attendant waited for a long time and didn’t see Bimbo. After some time, she saw Bimbo climbing up to the cinema and she went to meet her there and insisted the actress should give her the money. That was when the fight started.”

With an a impeachment move against him in the works,Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State is already celebrating victory at the House of Assembly Polls. According to him,its 26-0 with PDP winning every single seat in the state. Parading the streets of Ado-ekiti yesterday, Fayose said 

We defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) in all the 16 local governments in the governorship election last June. We repeated the same feat by winning in all the councils during the recent presidential and National Assembly elections. He continued.

APC legislators in Ekiti have insisted there is no going back on the impeachment process against Governor Fayose of Ekiti.
This is coming after the governor's media aide dismissed the impeachment as a joke.The embattled Speaker, Dr.Adewale Omirin in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Wole Olujobi, said

 “It will soon dawn on Fayose and his aides that the matter at hand goes beyond exuberant media skirmishes that are being deployed to rally support for the governor.
“Attention of the world has shifted to Ekiti State following the leaked tape detailing electoral fraud perpetrated to give Fayose victory. After that, several issues in Ekiti State are being questioned on the place of the constitution in nurturing democracy in the country, and as responsible citizens, we must act right to make democracy work.”

Presidency to investigate audio leak of pres.Jonathan's phonecall to Buhari

 

It has been learnt that the Presidency had commenced a discreet investigation into how a recording of the telephone call by the President to Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) on March 31, congratulating him on his victory at the last Saturday’s presidential election was leaked.

Punch reports,the audio of the conversation credited to one ENDS.ng @EveryNigerian was titled, “Historic congratulatory call from President Goodluck Jonathan to President-elect Muhammadu Buhari on March 31, 2015.”

A government official, who pleaded anonymity, told a Punch correspondent on Friday that the Presidency was embarrassed by the leaked recording.

While saying that a thorough investigation is underway, the security source said the first step was to ascertain whether the recording was leaked from the Presidency or was made public from the President-elect’s camp.

Tompolo Reacts to The Emergence of Buhari as President

Ex-militant commander, high chief Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, has called for calm and order over the outcome of the Presidential and National Assembly elections at the weekend.

Tompolo made the call in Warri in a statement by his spokesman, Comrade Paul Bebenimibo. He used the medium to congratulate Nigerians, especially the South East and the South South people for their support for President Jonathan.

He said: “I want to appeal to all our people to be orderly, calm and embrace peace. The will of the people is sacrosanct and the existing peace be maintained.

Man dumps deceased girlfriend in pit toilet

Authorities of Osun State Police command have launched investigation into the circumstances, leading to the dumping of the corpse of a 19-year-old girl by her boyfriend in a pit toilet in Osogbo, Osun State.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that detectives from State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) have already exhumed the remains of the girl, who was identified as Bilikisu, from the pit toilet at Abaja Compound, Balogun Area of Osogbo.

Credible source informed Nigerian Tribune that a middle-aged man, simply identified as Soji, who was Bilikisu’s boyfriend for over two years, dumped her corpse in the pit toilet.


Unconfirmed reports indicated that Soji, who is now at large, allegedly removed Bilikisu’s breasts, before dumping her remains in the pit toilet.
