Kano Police Arrested 150 People For Sagged Pants & Sporty Hair

Kano Police Force have begun to strictly enforce Islamic law. Last week, over 150 people were arrested for indecent dressing. Some people in Nigeria's second city were picked up "sagging their pants too low," or "sporting hair styles inspired by prominent international football players," a spokesman for Kano's Sharia Police, Mohammed Yusuf Yola, noted to the Associated Press.

This strict enforcement of the Sharia law is a part of the government's discipline method and curbing immorality. Other civilians were jailed and fined for sagging their pants too low; the law sees this act as an influence of some American hip hop artists, which is unacceptable.

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Kano state Governor gave this 'anti-crime' order to the police department, in his effort to purge the city of immoral acts and practices. The Sharia Police (Hisbah) Director, General Abba Sufi noted that this patrol or order will continue in the weeks ahead.

"We have arrested 150 men and women in the past week, including prostitutes and their boyfriends, transvestites, alcoholics and those engaged in indecent dressing in contravention of the sharia legal code," Yola told AFP.

Given that the governor is viewed as a moderate leader who has failed to impose the Sharia rules, some politicians see this order as his response. However, Yola, the police spokesman insisted that the operation was launched "to reverse disturbing trends in the city of some five million people and is targeting people of various faiths. Those arrested include Muslims and non-Muslims and we treat them equally because this is about morality," he said.

Some of the arrested civilians were released after paying fines ranging from 10,000-15,000 Naira ($60-$70). The spokesman also added that the people who could not afford the fine remains in jail . He would not specify how many people are currently detained.

I won't be surprise if several states follow Kano's trend and impose Sharia laws even on its Christian minorities. Today, it targets is immorality. Tomorrow, who knows? While other terrible crimes like murder, rape, theft, or fraud exist, Kano is more concerned about 'sagging pants'.

What do you think...is jailing people necessarily an effective means of curtailing immorality? Is sagging pants immoral?

Another Accident At Lagos Airport As Turkish Air & Max Air Planes Collide [Pics]

A minor accident occurred last-week Friday at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, involving a Turkish Airline aircraft and a Max Air plane. One of the wings of the Turkish Airline plane collided with that of a Max Air plane which had flown in Pilgrims from Saudi Arabia.

It was gathered that the Turkish Airline aircraft had landed safely but as it taxied to a stop at the airport’s apron, its wing collided with that of Max Air which resulted in minor damages to both airplanes.

According to a report by an online news portal, the Spokesman, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Fan Ndubuoke, who confirmed the incident, however, said damages to the aircraft belonging to both airlines were minor and that the planes have been taken away for repairs.

It would be recalled that a similar incident occurred last year in Jos, Plateau State, when an Arik plane’s wing brushed an Air force jet parked at the apron as the plane was taxiing to stop. There was also no casualty in the incident but only damages to both planes.

MEET The Nigerian Women Who Are More Powerful Than Goodluck Jonathan

Since inception, President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration has been accused of impunity, usually caused by decisions and actions of the President, including those of his ministers and close associates.

Most of the glaring cases of abuse of power including reckless spending of taxpayers’ money have been carried out by the women in Jonathan’s cabinet. These women have proven to be more powerful than the
number one citizen of Nigeria because despite public outcries that greet some of their decisions, they go scot-free.

Those who fall in this seemingly untouchable category are the First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan; the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke; the Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Ms. Arunma Oteh; and the Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah.

These powerful women have some things in common. They are all from the South-East and South-South geopolitical zones. Four of them had their higher education in the United States and two of them are daughters of traditional rulers. Needless to say they occupy some of the most strategic and ‘lucrative’ positions in the Federal Government.

PATIENCE JONATHAN

In Nigeria’s history, Patience Jonathan is believed to be the most powerful First Lady in terms of the amount of influence she has over her husband and his cabinet. Mrs. Jonathan first gave a glimpse into the enormous power she wields in 2011 when she traversed the country, campaigning for her husband in a way that irked many Nigerians.

Several calls by individuals and groups to the President to restrain his wife yielded no result. Also, in June this year, in apparent violation of the electoral act, Mrs. Jonathan reportedly started campaigning for her husband ahead of the 2015 elections. Another show of impunity by the President’s wife is the way she cripples any town or city she visits with her long motorcade, including bulletproof limousines and scores of armed policemen.

She grounded Lagos in 2012 when she visited to say “thank you” to some women groups for their support in electing her husband. Despite the protest by several Nigerians, who felt that their right to move freely in their country was violated by the movement of an unelected individual, the President’s wife was never cautioned, at least not publicly. Instead, the Presidency rose to her defence, giving her the liberty to do more in other cities. Her visits and grounding of traffic in Port Harcourt and Warri were also greeted with wide condemnations.

To show how powerful she is, Mrs. Jonathan publicly admitted making attempts to dictate to the Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, a move that largely precipitated the ongoing political crisis in the state.

In Aso Rock, where she resides with her husband, the fear of Mrs. Jonathan is the beginning of wisdom as she leaves no one in doubt that she is in charge. There is always a retinue of favour seekers waiting to see her daily.

Mrs. Jonathan, a native of Bayelsa State, was born in Port Harcourt on October 25, 1957 and holds National Certificate of Education in Mathematics and Biology from the Rivers State College of Arts and Science, and a Bachelor of Education degree in biology and psychology from the University of Port Harcourt.

NGOZI OKONJO-IWEALA

Right from when the negotiation to bring her from the World Bank started, it was obvious that Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was bound to wield so much power in Jonathan’s government.

With her position as the coordinating minister for the economy (a new position created for her) and Finance Minister, Okonjo-Iweala, who is currently 83rd on Forbes’ global list of powerful women, calls the shots as far as Nigeria’s economy is concerned. While doing that, she has called the bluff of many including state governors and the National Assembly without any consequence.

The state governors, who have complained about the shabby way the minister treat them, have called for her removal while the Academic Staff Union of Universities has called her a ‘dictator.’ But no matter the protest, Okonjo-Iweala remains a darling of the President.

The sacking of Mr. Shuaib Yushau as the Head, Media and Information Unit of the National Emergency Management Agency, after he wrote what was considered a critical article against Okonjo-Iweala, further showed that the minister was not to be messed with.

The article entitled ‘Still on Okonjo-Iweala over Controversial Appointments’, published on March 6, called on the minister “to ensure that appointments into important positions should be done in credible and transparent manner that can withstand public scrutiny.”

Similarly, Mr. Lawrence Ani, was reportedly suspended indefinitely from his job as Saturday Editor of Thisday Newspaper for publishing a story that cited data that indicated a drop in Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product under Okonjo-Iweala’s watch.

In 2011, against the opinion of the majority of Nigerians, Okonjo-Iweala and the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, insisted on the removal of fuel subsidy, and literally ordered it on the outset of 2012, resulting in the Occupy Nigeria protest.

Okonjo-Iweala, who also served as finance minister and foreign minister under President Olusegun Obansanjo and as a Managing Director at the World Bank, was born on June 13, 1954 to Professor Chukuka Okonjo, who is the Obi (traditional ruler) of Ogwashi-Uku.

She graduated from Harvard University in 1977, and earned her Ph.D. in regional economic development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1981.

She is married to Ikemba Iweala from Abia State.

DIEZANI ALISON-MADUEKE

Virtually all sections of the Nigerian society have called for the resignation of the Petroleum Resources Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, all to no avail. Most of those who sought her removal had cited several allegations of corrupt practices under her watch as reasons for their demand.

After the revelation of massive fraud in the fuel subsidy administration to the tune of N1.7trn, many had thought that heads would roll, including that of Alison-Madueke, who supervised the rot. Some heads did roll, but not that of the queen of the Nigeria oil and gas industry.

Till date, the Presidency has not queried or probed Diezani over allegations against her and the indictment of departments under her by several panels, including those headed by Nuhu Ribadu, Farouk Lawan, and Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede as well as the Nigerian Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative.

Diezani has also not explained to Nigeria, whom she was appointed to serve, what role she played in the massive corruption that led to the loss of huge amounts of public fund. Apart from the demands for the Alison-Madueke’s resignation and prosecution by civil society groups, who led the Occupy Nigeria protest, the House of Representatives also demanded her removal as minister.

Despite this, the President did not suspend her, and gave no explanation for that. This shows how powerful she is.

Alison-Madueke is the first woman to hold the position of Minister of Petroleum Resources in Nigeria, and in October 2010 she became the first woman to head a country’s delegation at the annual OPEC conference. She was also the first female Minister of Transportation, and the first woman to be appointed to the board of Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria. Alison-Madueke was born on December 6, 1960 in Port Harcourt.

She graduated from Howard University in 1992, with a Bachelor’s degree in architecture and returned to Nigeria to join Shell Petroleum Development Corporation.

About 10 years later, she earned an MBA from Cambridge University and was appointed as the first female executive director of Shell Nigeria.

In 1999, she got married to Admiral Alison Madueke (retd), one-time Chief of Naval Staff who was at different times military governor of Imo and Anambra states.

STELLA ODUAH

Not many are aware of the tremendous power of the Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah, in Jonathan’s government. For her role in Jonathan’s 2011 campaign, she was reportedly rewarded with a ministerial appointment to the aviation ministry, even though she had no prior training in the field of aviation.

Many believe that the President feels indebted to her for her role as the Director of Finance and Administration of the Jonathan/Sambo Campaign Organisation and in the establishment of Neighbour-to-Neighbour outfit, which reportedly spent billions of naira on adverts and media propaganda in favour of Jonathan, especially while the Occupy Nigeria protest lasted.

Considering this relationship with Jonathan, it should not be a surprise that Oduah’s response to critics after the Dana and Associated Airlines crashes reeked of arrogance.

The latest revelation that she forced the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority to buy her bulletproof vehicles has again elicited calls for her removal and prosecution but considering the way the President has treated public outcries against these powerful women, Oduah is likely to remain minister till the end of Jonathan’s administration. Princess Stella Oduah was born on January 5, 1962 to Igwe D.O. Oduah of Akili-Ozizor in Anambra State on January 5, 1962.

She got her Bachelor’s degree in accounting and MBA from American universities.

Oduah joined the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in 1983 and in 1992, she established a petroleum products marketing company, Sea Petroleum & Gas Company Limited. She was married to the former Minister for Works, Chris Ogiemwonyi.

Sallah Prostitutes & Youths With Crazy Haircuts Arrested By Shariah Police In Kano [See Photo]

I was a little bit worried when I saw this hairstyle, as in how can a normal human being do such on his/her head. To me it's even scary!

The Public Relations Officer of the Shariah Police, Malam Yusuf Yola, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano that the defaulters had been charged to court. He said that members of the Hisbah corps also arrested deviant youths with crazy haircuts during the festivities.

Yola said that apart from those arrested for prostitution, more than 40 male and female youths were also picked up during the festive period for “misconduct’’ at places of leisure across the state.

According to him, the parents of some of those arrested were invited to the board for discussions and advice and most of the youth were later released.

“For those who had mischievous haircuts, the board made sure that they had clean haircuts before they were released.

Pres. Jonathan’s Convoy Rescues Accident Victims On Lokoja-Abuja Highway

The advance team of President Goodluck Jonathan’s entourage, returning from Ado-Ekiti on Sunday rendered emergency rescue services to accident victims on the Lokoja-Abuja highway, witnesses say.

The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reported that the accident, which occurred at Okpu village, few kilometres after Lokoja, involved two cars carrying 11 people.

A Nissan Almera car with registration number AH 47 KAA going to Lokoja and a Honda Accord model with registration number BG945BWR en-route Abuja, were involved in the accident.

The two vehicles had a head-on collision with serious impact, causing varying degrees of injury to the occupants of the vehicles.

The accident occurred few minutes before the presidential motorcade came by the scene, NAN reported. Mr Jonathan was in Ekiti state over the weekend on an official visit.

As the convoy arrived, the president’s security team rescued victims trapped in the two cars.

The front door of the passenger seat of the Nissan car was axed before a middle aged woman, who was inside, could be rescued.

The medical team, led by Dr Aliyu Usman of the State House Clinic, rendered emergency medical treatment to the victims, aided by two nurses.

Later, a team of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, led by one Mohammed Haruna, arrived the scene of the accident about 30 minutes into the rescue operation.

The victims were taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja, in an FRSC rescue van for further medical attention.

An eye witness, Aliyu Sadiq, said that the accident was caused by speed, dangerous driving and the poor state of the road.

The eye witness, who is a commercial bus driver, said he plied the road on daily basis, and that there was hardly a day that an accident is not recorded on the road.

New Abuja City Gate To Cost A Whopping N64Billion

Construction of a new city gate for The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) located at the Kuje Junction, Along Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Expressway (airport road) is set to cost a grand total of N64 billion.

Leadership Newspaper is reporting that “The new city gate, according to the administration, comprises conference and parade grounds, botanical gardens and a five star hotel. Others are shopping arcades, amphitheatres, cable car stations that will go from south to north and a monorail system.

Director, department of public buildings, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Arch Bernard Lot, who disclosed this while addressing a press conference, said the project would be floated through Public Private Partnership (PPP) model and the administration was currently looking for investors.”

Not exactly sure why this is a priority for Abuja, considering just outside the city there are numerous slums that can do well with that kind of money and infrastructure rebuild.

Fake Police Commissioner Arrested In Abuja

Attempt by a middle-aged man to present himself as a senior police commissioner and curry favour from unsuspecting government agencies in the Federal Capital Territory, has backfired, exposing him as fake Assistant Police Commissioner.

Convinced that Kunle Adeshola, who also goes by the names of Dr. Kunle Shoal, Dr K. Adeshola and Sunday Mealayeshe Adekunle was not sincere in his exploits, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, immediately arrested and detained him in their custody.

A statement from the commission made available to Vanguard yesterday, described the suspect as a serial impostor and self-acclaimed Assistant Commissioner of Police who has been parading himself as an operative of the EFCC and defrauding officials of government agencies under the guise of conducting phantom investigations.

The statement, which was signed by EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said Adeshola was nabbed on Thursday October 10, 2013 while trying to hoodwink the head of an unnamed federal government agency to write a letter supposedly to the Inspector General of Police to transfer him to the EFCC.

According to the agency, the unsuspecting CEO wrote the pleading with the IG to second the fraudster to his agency with a view to sanitising the place.

It was however leant that the suspects pocketed the letter and made the CEO to believe that the IG had sanctioned his deployment to the agency and was about to resume work there.

However, EFCC agents arrested the suspect before he could “resume duties” at the agency.

At the time of his arrest two fake identity cards were found on him, one of the cards bearing the name Dr. K Adeshola (ACP) identifies him as a staff of a nonexistent EFCC Monitoring Unit while the other is a police ID card with number: APF NO. 02576 with the name, Dr. Kunle Adeshola

Search in his apartment in Lugbe, a suburb of Abuja yielded a number of documents suspected to be fake. They included copies of NYSC Exemption Certificates and blank copies of University of Jos certificate.

Nigerian Politicians and the Spirit of Unforgiveness: Obasanjo-Atiku Case Study

Politicians of Nigerian extraction have the penchant to run down enemies until they have been crushed by a moving trailer, ciourtesy of their spirit of unforgiveness. Unforgiveness, by my observation, is a spirit which keeps reminding one of the wrong, injury done by the other party even when it is illogical, unreasonable or untenable to hold on to such grievances. The person therefore, prays for opportunity to seek revenge.

One of the hallmarks of Nigerian politician is their ability to extract a pound of flesh from a perceived political opponent even at the expense of national development. In this essay I would limit the discussion to two prominent personalities, Former president Olusegun Obasanjo who fought his erstwhile deputy, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and another case of Governor of Enugu State Sullivan Chime who fought a former governor and immediate past National Chairman of the ruling PDP until the later was disgraced out of office at the peak of his career.

Atiku became Vice President of Nigeria, having secured the ticket to run for the governorship of Adamawa State under the platform of PDP in 1999. Obasanjo actually gave him 24 hours to decide whether he wanted to be his deputy, an offer Atiku gladly accepted.

My Dream Is To Establish A Church" - Beverly Osu

In her words;
“I attended Daughters of Divine Love Convent, Enugu State. I thought I would be a reverend sister but I abandoned the vision when I dropped out in my fifth year. I finished my secondary education in a secular institution before moving to Babcock University. I could not finish from Babcock because I had some personal issues.

Again, I dropped and enrolled at the National Open University..It affected me in a very spiritual way. In as much as I know worldly things, I still fear God and have faith in Him.

The reason why I wanted to become a nun was because I was raised in a Catholic home. I just felt it was the best thing for me to do at that time. I used to see myself as a messenger of God. Even though I did not become a nun, I still remain faithful to God. Part of my dreams is to establish a church and do a lot of charity work.

Rapist Demands Mercy In Court Because He Didn’t Ejaculate

According to Modern Ghana. A 31-year old Ghanaian, Kwame Anane asked a court to show him mercy after he was arrested on rape charges because he didn't reach climax, even though he admits he did the deed and he insisted he had the full consent of the girl who agreed to be given some money after the sexual encounter.

‘My Lord, although I penetrated, I did not get any enjoyment because some people appeared at the scene and we had to stop immediately, so have mercy on me.’

His plea and explanation however could not win the sympathy of an Accra Circuit Court which sentenced him to seven years imprisonment.

According to the prosecution, the accused bought some items from the victims mother on credit and failed to pay after a long time.

When he later met the victim’s mother and she demanded for her cash, he asked her daughter to come for it later. It was this debt that the girl was sent to collect from Anane at his shop in Accra.

Even though Anane could not settle the debt, he forced the girl into sex in an uncompleted building while seeing her off. Unfortunately for him, he was caught by some masons who had come to work on the building.

He took to his heels upon seeing the witnesses but the victim was led to the mother at home to report. The mother in turn lodged a complaint with the police. A medical report from the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital revealed that the girl had been penetrated.

Anane was later arrested and charged with defiling a girl under 14 years but he claimed that it was the girl who fondled with his manhood and told him to do it and give her money in return.

NYSC To Pay Virgins 50,000 Naira As Monthly Allowance

It’s good news for Virgins who are currently partaking in this year’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program as President Goodluck Jonathan through the NYSC Director General, Brig. Gen. Nnamdi Okorie-Affia has just announced that, instead of N19,800, Virgin Corps Members will be receiving N50,000 as monthly allowance.

The President said it was an incentive for “Girls to keep themselves for their husbands” and also as a way of congratulating girls who “managed to keep their hymens intact in such a trying times as we have today”.

So far, only 28 girls nation-wide have been confirmed as virgins and have recieved their 1st N50,000 allowance. Pharmacies have also reported a 234% increase in demand for Alum, Vagina tighteners and Hymen Reforming creams and drugs.

Boys have also protested, saying Male Virgin Corps Members also deserve N50k, but the NYSC says there’s no way to confirm that.

Some girls also protested at NYSC Headquarters this morning, claiming they were virgins up until Camp Fire night, so they should qualify to receive the N50k. Their pleas have fallen on deaf ears so far.

Charles Taylor Sentenced To 50 Years In Prison

Ex-Liberian President Charles Taylor is to serve his 50-year war crimes sentence in the UK, Justice Minister Jeremy Wright has confirmed.

Sweden and Rwanda had also offered to imprison him following the rejection of his appeal last month by a

UN-backed special court in The Hague.

It ruled that his convictions had been proved beyond doubt.

He was sentenced in May 2012 for aiding rebels who committed atrocities in Sierra Leone during its civil war.

Mr Wright made the announcement in a written statement to Parliament.

The Special Court for Sierra Leone (SCSL) found Taylor, 65, guilty of 11 crimes including terrorism, rape, murder and the use of child soldiers by rebel groups in neighbouring Sierra Leone during the 1991-2002 conflict.

He was found to have supplied weapons to the Revolutionary United Front (RUF) rebels in exchange for a constant flow of so-called blood diamonds.

Taylor has always insisted he is innocent and his only contact with the rebels was to urge them to stop fighting.

He is the first former head of state convicted by an international war crimes court since World War II.

TOUCHING: BOY BORN WITH A TORTOISE SHELL ON HIS BACK!!

Didier Montalvo, from rural Colombia developed congenital melanocytic nevus, which causes moles to grow all over the body at an incredibly fast rate.

As a result of this disease, a mole grew so large that it covered Didier’s entire back. He was dubbed ‘turtle boy’ by his peers as the huge mole looked like a shell.Apparently, Didier was conceived on an eclipse and the locals believed his mole was the work of the devil. For this reason, he was shunned by other children and banned from the local school. When British surgeon Neil Bulstrode heard about Didier’s condition, he travelled to Bogota so he could operate and remove the mole.

Didier was six years old when the surgery was performed. It was a success and the whole mole was excised. After the operation, Didier now goes to school and lives a normal, happy life.

Born in Luanda as Teca Miguel Garcia, singer and dancer Titica adopted her female persona four years ago following a breast enhancement operation in Brazil.
Now, at twenty-six, Titica is the new face of Angola's unique urban rap-techno fusion music style known as "kuduro".Speaking to the BBC last year, during a make-up session before filming the video for her current hit Olha o Boneco, which features popular Angolan kizomba singer Ary, Titica said she was overcome with her success.

"Thanks to God, I am very happy, it has taken a while to get here and involved a lot of sacrifice but thanks to God, everything is going well for me.
I've been stoned, I've been beaten, and there is a lot of prejudice against me, a lot of people show that. There is a lot of taboo,".

Despite that taboo, Titica appears to have no shortage of fans and most seem more interested in her music than in her s*xuality.

Linda Ikeji: She’s A Nigerian Internet Maverick Without Even Knowing

…Just four years ago, in 2009, while a CEO of a modeling and events company, I went to the ATM  to withdraw money from my account. I checked my balance and it was N800. I wanted to withdraw N500 but the minimum balance you can leave in your account then (don’t know if it’s same now) was N500, so the ATM didn’t give me the N500 I desperately needed. I tried to withdraw N300, but found out the minimum one can withdraw from an ATM is N500. I went home feeling down, wondering when my life would turn around.
You can quote me on this anywhere. There is no Nigerian parent anywhere in the world that does not take pride in their kids seeking out careers in Engineering, Medicine, Law, Financial Service or the Corporate World or better still, The Holy Grail of the Nigerian Dream, Oil. However, they frown heavily on any career that is founded in entertainment or any other alternative career whatsoever. Why? Personally, I have no idea, but that is just how, on average they are.  I suppose one can say that they believe that people who go into the arts are those who were lacked the strengths and discipline to hack a real profession. In comparison, in the UK or United States, parents might be all right with their kids saying to them “ Mummy, I want to be an actress”, however, say such to a Nigerian parent and she might not take that very well.
However, dare I say, but the last couple of years in Nigeria has experienced some sort of ‘Entertainment Boom’.  The Nigerian pop music has grown beyond the shores of the nation, Nigerian comedians are selling out shows in London and of course, the local movie industry dubbed ‘Nollywood’. Based on these successes, it is now slowly (I stress the slowly in great deal) becoming all right for Nigerians to say they are pursuing careers in alternative fields. Then we have blogging, which is another new career path that has been crafted and at the forefront of blogging is, lindaikeji.blogspot.com, which is fronted by Linda Ikeji.
linda ikeji01
In just four short years, Linda has turned her blog into the number one source for information around Nigerian pop culture. As, Americans have E-Online or maybe Perez or TMZ or the British have Daily Mail, Nigerians have Linda Ikeji. Information about your favorite singer, actress, personality even politics can be found on the blog. By the way, her information is accurate, as I have personally confirmed something she put up once. Rather than being your typical gossip blog, she decided to use her blog, as a platform to address what most Nigerians would describe as “taboo” issues. Her ever-popular “Dear LIB readers…” address issues of masturbation, oral sex, sexual desires, sex positions, frequency of intercourse. An example is “Dear LIB readers: I’m addicted to sex toys, is that a bad thing?” or normal issues like relationship problems, family squabbles, life issues and so on, with “Dear LIB Readers: How do I get my in-laws out of my home?” as an instance. Scroll down to the comment section and one sees in shock, Nigerians commenting and commenting freely around these taboo and non-taboo issues. Her blog has now become a place where people can just be free and talk and not feel like someone is going to judge them or wash their mouths with soap. Atimes, she raises these issues or her readers send in questions and people discuss.
In this short time, she has become on of the most influential Nigerian voices on the Internet, frequently doing appearances round the world. If you happen to get featured on her blog, be sure that you have arrived, because she commands hits in the many thousands daily, hence, organizations rush after her for advert space and pay her accordingly.
Why do we feature her on our blog? On our blog we preach that in order to stand out, one should get their heads out of the box and dare to be different, creative and innovative, and also do something that we love. Miss Ikeji, got her head out the box and did something different founded on something that she enjoyed and has not only turned herself into a multimillionaire, but has also made it acceptable for other people to follow alternative careers. She is a lesson that we can all be successful in anything that we put our mind to, be it the norm or not. Yes, even if naysayers say she is selling gossip, but I will say that she is self-employed, she is not doing anything illegal and in a country where unemployment rates are scary, she has done very well for herself. At this rate, I will not be surprised if she takes a page out of Oprah’s book very soon and starts a talk show, magazines and so on.
She published a letter some months back and I would say that after reading that, I was left inspired. In that letter, she stated that just fours years’ back, she was practically flat broke and now she was a multimillionaire from blogging. In that letter she really encouraged her readers they can be anything they want to be and also to never mind other opinions of others and focus on opinions of themselves and never to allow people to tell them they are less than who they are.
I leave with a quote from her letter….
You can be anything you want to be. For all the dreamers out there, here’s something you need to know. The time while you’re waiting for your dreams to come true is not a bad time. All you have to do is keep moving, keep believing, keep fighting, keep working hard and keep praying.”

Photo: 125 Year-Old Woman Claims Smoking Marijuana Everyday Was Her Secret To Long Life

A 125-year-old woman, said to be one of the oldest women in India, died at her home in Orissa, her family said Sunday. Fulla Nayak claimed that smoking cannabis every day was her secret to long life.

Fulla Nayak, a resident of Kanarpur village in the coastal district of Kendrapada, died of old age complications Saturday.

According to her 72-year-old grandson, Fulla was 125. But as per a voter photo identity card issued by the government in 1995 she was 120 years.

The grand old woman lived in a small mud-walled thatched house in Kanarpur, about 25 km from the district headquarters. She is survived by two of her four daughters and around two dozen relatives.

Her eldest daughter, Jamuna, 92, lives in the same village. Her husband died at the age of 50.

Fulla was in the news when her grandson Narayan Nayak claimed last week that she could be the oldest woman living in the world. He had said that he would write to the Guinness book authorities to record the claim.

Fulla was known for her love of smoking ganja and cigars and palm juice. She also loved steaming hot tea.

She had never suffered any debilitating ailment throughout her life. Except for her weak eyesight, Fulla maintained good health and used to walk without support.

7 reasons why men cheat on women

This is in fact a real medical condition that should be treated

1. Fights at Home
When a man fights regularly with his wife and these quarrels are left unsolved, the man becomes unhappy and disturbed. He can either fight back or simply flee. The latter scenario may be the reason why men cheat on their wives. Because when they look for an affair, they search for someone that brings them calmness and understanding, therefore a parallel life and support.

2. Boredom
This is another reason why guys cheat on their girlfriends and wives. Some men may find couple routine a little dull and instead of changing their situation, they find another relationship that will offer them the spark their current relationship lacks. They want to experiment something new and fresh and they are willing to take the risk.

3. Séxual Experimentation
Séx represents an important aspect of a relationship. Some men are easily bored so they are willing to experiment more séxually. They like to have a lot of séxual partners and if the occasion arrives, they will not back off. Perhaps this makes them feel powerful and experts at bed talk!

4. Family History
Some men may have witnessed cheating in their parent’s marriage and this might have transmitted them a message that it is okay to cheat. Our parents are in fact our first teachers because we learn from them each and every day, so seeing one of your parents cheat makes you think that this is the normal thing to do, when in fact it may bring a lot of suffering.

5. Temptation Is Too Big
Some men like to live in chaos and they want to enjoy every temptation that might come along. The adrenaline rush that they get from cheating with another women is definitely a thrill and they love it, therefore they yield to temptation every time it comes along.

6. Insecurity
There are some men that don’t feel good about themselves and they need the validation of women (others than their wives or girlfriends) to still feel desirable to the opposite séx.

7. Compulsory Cheating
This is in fact a real medical condition that should be treated. A compulsive cheater needs medical help and our recommendation would be to leave the relationship before it’s too late.

I Caught My Girl In Bed With My Brother - Romance

This may sound like a story from nollywood, but it actually happened. I'm in a dilemma. i happen to have a girlfriend whom i care a lot about. I met her early this year. She became close to my heart and i showered her with love and affection. I even introduced her to my parents.
earlier on, my younger brother came to visit me. I went with my babe to pick him up at the car park and we all got talking in the car. we all went out together during my brother's stay with me. this was in April.

About 3 weeks ago, my brother came again. During that time, i happened to be very busy at the office and didn't have time to see my babe. Infact i couldn't see her for almost 10 days as i always went to work before 7 and got back home around 10pm.
Two saturdays ago, i had to go to the office. I had earlier promised my babe that i'll come take her out for the day, but at the last minute, my boss called me and told me that i had to do a few things for her at the office. I had to call her from the office and tell her. she was upset naturally. Thinking i'll leave the office late, i promised to see her the following day.

Luckily for me, i happened to finish what i was doing in the office by 1. I then called her to tell her i was coming over, but she didn't pick up. I drove down to her house, but she wasn't at home. I then decided to go home and pick my younger brother up(my dad wasn't around that day) and go watch a movie i had been wanting to watch since.

immediately i got home, i noticed a lady's bag on the table in the sitting room. I was wondering who my brother had brought home to see him yet again. I went to the room and i heard sounds inside. As the door was a bit open, i peeped and what i saw shocked me. There was my brother banging the hell out of my girlfriend!! They were both as Unclad as the back of my hand. the radio inside was on, so they didn't hear me as i stepped inside. It was when the girl looked up and saw me that she pushed him off her, panic all over her face. my brother too jumped up and they were both looking at me with fear over their faces. i didn't know when i attacked the guy. we both fought like wounded lions while the girl tried to seperate us.

To cut a long story short, i couldn't dream of staying in the house that nite. My dad came back home later on and asked after me(according to what he said when he called). I told him to ask my brother what he did that made me leave the house. I guess he later heard about it cos he kept on calling me(he even came to my office about twice) telling me to forgive my brother. I told him that as long as he was in that house, i was not coming back cos if i set my eyes on him, i was going to kill him, cos this wasn't the first time he was going to take a girl i liked from me.

My girlfriend too has been beggin me since. she was like she never knew what got over her that day, that she was lonely, and that she came over hoping that she'll wait till i got home, and both of them started talking about relationships and stuff. before they knew what they were doing, they had started kissing themselves and then they were making out in bed. I didn't buy it.

this happened about ten days ago. I've not gone home since then. i put up with one of my friends, but no one knows i'm with him. The girl has been begging me seriously since then to forgive her. My brother too has been asking for my forgiveness, but i told him that if he likes himself, he shouldn't try seeing me. My mom in the states too heard about it and has been calling me to forget about the issue. i'm in a dilemma. Please what can i do? i need ur help people.
